NEHL 2025-25 Season

 

Hello lovely people, and welcome to another season of mud & mayhem in the Start Fitness North Eastern Harrier League.

The fixtures are finalised, and we have some new and exciting news:  A new fixture at Eltringham Farm, a new chip-timing solution, and the Under 20 women will be running with the Senior & Masters Women for the first time this year.

So, get ready to dust off those spikes & trail shoes, and prepare to get muddy!

We have a mix of Saturday and Sunday fixtures this season:

Saturday 28/09/24 - Thornley Hall Farm (near Peterlee)

Sunday 13/10/24 - Druridge Bay Country Park (near Amble)

Sunday 20/10/24 - Lambton Estate (near Chester-le-Street)

Saturday 23/11/24 - Eltringham Farm (near Prudhoe)

Sunday 19/01/25 - Wrekenton (Gateshead)

Sunday 02/02/25 - Temple Park (South Shields)

Saturday 01/03/25 - Alnwick Castle (Alnwick Pastures)

Entries

Club entries via website, guests of the league (must be affiliated) entries on the day.  Keep your number for the whole season (all 7 fixtures).

Second Claim runners may not count for team points. They can either run for their first claim club as a guest, or if they come and register on the day they can take part as a non-counting runner in their second claim vest.  Guests & Second claim runners do not accumulate team points, but do get individual grand prix points.

Costs

Clubs: £50 + £7 per athlete.  

Guests: £10

Late entries & lost numbers: £10

Age Groups

Under 11 - must be aged at least 9 on the day of competition
Under 13 - must be 11 on 31st August 2024.  
Under 15 - must be 13 on 31st August 2024.
Under 17 men - must be 15 on 31st August 2024.
Under 17 women - must be 15 on 31st August 2024.
Senior Men - must be 17 on 31st August 2024.
Senior Women - must be 17 on 31st August 2024.

M65+ competition

Men over 65 may compete in the two lap race if they wish - please let us know if this is the case
